YZ is a medium-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cable, a type of medium-duty cable. The Y stands for rubber insulation, and the letter Z stands for medium-duty cable. YC is a heavy-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cable, commonly known as a type of rubber-sheathed cable. The Y stands for rubber insulation, and the C stands for heavy-duty cable. It is also known as rubber cable or general-purpose rubber-sheathed cable.
1. Different Characteristics
As a heavy-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cable, YC is more resistant to external forces on mobile electrical equipment and has a thicker sheath.
As a medium-duty rubber-sheathed flexible cable, YZ is less resistant to external forces on mobile electrical equipment and has a thinner sheath.
2. Different Voltage Ratings
YC's voltage rating is 450/750V;
YZ's voltage rating is 300/500V.
3. Different Models
YC models include 10mm, 15mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 70mm, 95mm, 120mm, 150mm, 185mm, and 240mm;
YZ models include 0.75mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2.5mm, 4mm, and 6mm.
4. Different Conductor Cross-sectional Areas:
YZ is suitable for small-square-meter rubber-sheathed cables up to 6 square meters;
YC is suitable for large-square-meter rubber-sheathed cables over 10 square meters;
5. Price Difference:
Because the insulation and sheath of YC cables are slightly thicker than those of YZ cables with the same conductor cross-section, the price of YC rubber-sheathed cables with the same conductor cross-section is higher than that of YZ cables.
Theoretically, small square rubber sheathed wires within 6 square meters (inclusive) can also be customized according to YC standards, because YZ standards can fully meet the actual use needs of small square rubber sheathed wires. If the customer has no special requirements, they are generally produced according to YZ standards. From the perspective of actual use and economic perspectives, we recommend that small square rubber sheathed wires within 6 square meters (inclusive) be customized according to YZ standards, and large square rubber sheathed wires above 10 square meters (inclusive) can only be customized according to YC to meet use needs.
