BTLY mineral insulated fire-resistant cable consists of a cable conductor, insulation layer, aluminum sheath, isolation layer, and outer sheath. The cable conductor is made of multiple strands of copper wire, and the insulation layer is made of mineral insulation material. The aluminum sheath is a soft aluminum sheath processed through a special process. The isolation layer is made of mineral material, and the outer sheath is made of low-smoke, halogen-free, or better plastic material.

Product Model: BTLY (NG-A) Mineral Insulated Cable

Product Name: Isolated (Flexible) Inorganic Mineral Insulated Fire-Resistant Cable

Product Standards:

1. BS 6387:1994 Performance Requirements for Cables to Maintain Circuit Integrity Under Fire Conditions;

2. GB/T12706.1 "Extruded Insulated Power Cables and Accessories, Rated Voltage 1 kV (Um = 1.2 kV) to 35 kV (Um = 40.5 kV);

3. Comply with relevant company standards.

BTLY Mineral Insulated Cable Product Features:

Voltage rating: 0.6/1kV, operating voltage: 500V for light load, 1000V for heavy load.

Operating Environment: Permanent operating temperature of the conductor is 90°C.

Bending Radius: Minimum bend radius ≥ 12D.

Product Features:

Conductor: Round stranded copper wire (softer than solid copper rod of BTT).

Insulation: The insulation layer is pure gold mica tape (no longer laminated with extruded insulation, thus eliminating carbon particles and improving electrical stability).

Filling layer: Densely filled with mineral compounds.

Sheath: Soft aluminum sheath.

Fire-resistant layer: Covered with an inorganic material (Mg(OH)2) or Al(OH)2) that is non-melting, non-combustible, and expandable in flames.

Outer sheath: Low-smoke, halogen-free, or better plastic material.

Application: This product is a domestic first, with no international prototypes. Compared to the BTTZ series metal-sheathed cables, this product can be produced in long, continuous lengths and can be cabled with multiple cores within 240 mm², overcoming the drawback of excessive joints. However, due to its complex structure, large outer diameter, and heavy weight, its electrical performance is somewhat inferior to that of BTTZ, YTTW, and BBTRZ cables. The aluminum sheath is relatively weak in fire resistance and prone to electrical corrosion. The aluminum-copper transition at the joints is challenging, and installation skills are still very demanding.

Features:

1. Fire resistance meets the three BS6387 tests: no breakdown at 950°C for 3 hours, no damage after 30 minutes at 650°C, and no damage after 15 minutes of water spray (direct immersion is also acceptable), and no damage after 15 minutes of impact and vibration at 950°C. This fully meets the BTT fire resistance standards.

2. The product can produce 1 to 37 cores in 1.5 to 6 square specifications, 1 to 5 cores in 10 to 240 square specifications, and single core in 300 to 630 square specifications. The length can be customized according to user needs and the whole piece can be delivered as a whole reel without joints.
