At present, twisted pair cables can be divided into unshielded twisted pair (UTP=UNSHILDED TWISTED PAIR) and shielded twisted pair (STP=SHIELDED TWISTED PAIR). The outer layer of the shielded twisted pair cable is wrapped with aluminum platinum to reduce radiation, but it cannot completely eliminate radiation. The price of shielded twisted pair is relatively high and it is more difficult to install than unshielded twisted pair cable. Unshielded twisted pair cable has the following advantages: (1) No shielding jacket, small diameter, saving space; (2) Light weight, easy to bend and easy to install; (3) Minimize or eliminate crosstalk; (4) Flame retardant; (5) Independent and flexible, suitable for structured cabling. These two categories are further divided into 100 ohm cable, dual-body cable, large-pair cable, 150 ohm shielded cable, etc.
