RVVP is a shielded cable. Inspection only assesses the braid density of the shield (copper wire braid), disregarding impedance. The braid density is required to be at least 80%, and the JB/T8734.5-1998 standard is adhered to. However, the RVVYP, which serves a similar purpose, complies with the GB/T5023.7-2008 standard and has a transfer impedance requirement of no more than 250 ohms/km at 30MHz. RVVS is generally not available in this designation; it may be RVVSP, which refers to a twisted pair of insulated wires followed by a braided shield, similar to a shielded network cable.
