Mineral cables are manufactured in limited lengths, requiring intermediate connectors when the cable run is insufficient. However, the more joints a cable has, the more capped ends it has, making it difficult to guarantee the cable's insulation resistance. Furthermore, intermediate connectors are expensive. Therefore, when ordering mineral cables, the manufacturer should be specifically requested to provide a specific length based on the design drawings and site conditions to minimize the number of intermediate connectors. For example, if the maximum length of a BTTZ-4×25 multi-core cable exceeds 80 meters, the designer may be advised to use 4×(BTTZ-1×25) single-core cables (maximum length 500 meters) to reduce the number of intermediate connectors.
