BV, BVR, RV, BVVB, and RVV:

BV, BVR, and RV: All are single-core cables.

BV: Single-core cables with one or seven copper wires are relatively stiff and are also called hard cables.

BVR: Single-core cables with 19 or more copper wires twisted together are softer than BV cables and are also called soft cables.

RV: Single-core cables with 30 or more copper wires twisted together are softer than BVR cables and are generally not used for home decoration.

Recommended Cables for Home Decoration: BV or BVR Soft Cables.

BVVB: Hard-sheathed cables, consisting of two or three BV cables sheathed together.

RVV: Soft-sheathed cables, consisting of two or more RV cables sheathed together.
