Application: 6kV to 15kV shipboard power cables are used to transmit power on various river and sea vessels and offshore structures such as offshore oil platforms.

V. Usage Characteristics

1. The maximum long-term operating temperature of the cable conductor is 90°C.

2. The cable installation temperature should not be lower than 0°C.

3. Recommended bend radius:

For single-core unarmored cable, the recommended maximum bend radius is 20 times the cable's outer diameter; for single-core armored cable, the recommended maximum bend radius is 15 times the cable's outer diameter; for multi-core unarmored cable, the recommended maximum bend radius is 12 times the cable's outer diameter. VI. Cable Lifting and Storage

1. During transportation, cables and cable reels must not be damaged. Pushing cable reels directly off a vehicle is strictly prohibited. Cable reels should not be transported or stored flat.

2. Do not lower cable reels or cable coils containing cables from high places. During transportation, cable reels must be stable and properly secured to prevent collision or tipping.

3. Before transporting or rolling a cable reel, ensure that the reel is secure and the cable is tightly wound. When rolling, follow the arrows on the reel or the direction of cable winding.

4. During storage, the cable reel and packaging must be intact, fully labeled, and securely sealed. Defects must be promptly addressed. Cable storage areas must be free of water.

VII. Cable Installation and Laying

1. When laying out cables, maintain uniform tension to prevent twisting, cracking, and kinking of the insulation, which could lead to accidents.

2. When making cable connections, use specialized tools in strict accordance with national power construction regulations. 3. If mechanical damage is detected during cable installation, ensure the cable is inspected to confirm insulation damage, if conditions permit.

4. Before laying cables, perform the following inspections:

4.1 The cable model, specifications, and voltage must conform to the design.

4.2 The cable must be visually undamaged, with good insulation and qualified by testing.

4.3 Calculate the length of each cable based on the design and actual route, arrange each cable reel appropriately, and minimize cable joints.

4.4 Ensure reliable safety measures when installing and laying cables in live areas.
