I. Features and Applications of Blue Jacketed Intrinsically Safe Computer Shielded Cable
Blue jacketed computer shielded cable has low capacitance and inductance, and offers excellent shielding and anti-interference performance. It is flame-resistant and resistant to acids, alkalis, oils, and water. Designed specifically for intrinsically safe explosion-proof circuits, it can be installed not only in cable trays but also in cable trenches and direct burial. It is suitable for use as a transmission line in distributed control systems and automated testing systems requiring explosion-proof protection and other harsh environments. Its explosion-proof safety performance significantly exceeds that of standard DCS cables and computer control cables.
II. Implementation Standard for Intrinsically Safe Computer Shielded Cable: TICW/06-2009
Equivalent to the British BS5308 standard. Flame retardant complies with the GB12666-90 standard.
III. Usage Characteristics of Intrinsically Safe Computer Shielded Cable
1. Maximum Operating Temperature: Polyethylene insulation not exceeding 70°C; cross-linked polyethylene insulation not exceeding 90°C; low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant polyolefin not exceeding 70°C; low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant cross-linked polyolefin not exceeding 90°C and 125°C; perfluoroethylene propylene (F46) insulation not exceeding 200°C; imported soluble polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA) not exceeding 260°C.
2. AC Rated Voltage: U0/U300/500 kV.
3. Minimum Ambient Temperature: PVC sheath: -40°C for fixed installation, -15°C for non-fixed installation; fluoroplastic and silicone rubber sheath: -60°C for fixed installation, -25°C for non-fixed installation.
4. The cable installation temperature must be no less than 0°C (no less than -25°C for high-temperature installations).
5. Allowable Cable Bending Radius: Minimum 6 times the cable's outer diameter for unarmored cables The minimum outer diameter of copper tape shielded or steel tape armored cables is 12 times the cable's outer diameter.
