Railway Signal Cables
Railway signal cables are suitable for transmitting railway signals, audio signals, or control circuits for automatic signaling devices with a rated voltage of 500V AC or 1000V DC or below. Composite-sheathed and aluminum-sheathed railway signal cables offer adequate shielding performance and are suitable for installation in electrified areas or other areas subject to strong electrical interference.
1. Usage Characteristics of Railway Signal Cables
1.1 The operating temperature of the cables is -40°C to +60°C.
1.2 The long-term operating temperature of the cable conductor should not exceed +70°C.
1.3 The operating temperature of the cables should be no less than 0°C for PVC-sheathed cables and no less than -20°C for PE-sheathed cables.
1.4 The allowable bending radius of railway signal cables should be no less than 10 times the cable's outer diameter for unarmored cables and no less than 15 times the cable's outer diameter for armored cables. 1.5 The ideal shielding factor for composite-sheathed railway signal cables is ≤ 0.8; the ideal shielding factor for aluminum-sheathed railway signal cables is ≤ 0.3.
